When you are the firstborn of a family, it seems like you do a lot of things alone. You are first to learn how to ride a bike, first to go to school, first to drive a car, possibly the first to fall in love. It can feel lonely, if you think about it. BUT…even “firsts” have someone they look up to and learn from. No one ever got where they are completely alone. There was always someone of inspiration to guide and lead them along their path. Don’t every think you are “in this alone”…for you are not.
For me, there have been a few people thru life that have inspired me and that I’ve looked up to. I was careful NOT to idolize them, tho; for they are mere humans like me.
My greatest mentor/guide has been my God, my Jesus. I talk with Him in my mind and with my heart and He replies quietly, guiding me thru decisions that I must make to move forward. Sometimes those decisions are so very difficult and I don’t want to make them – simply out of fear. But I trust Him and I know that He wants the best for me.
There are times when my mind will play tricks on me and the sources of fear will “talk” to my mind. How do you know the difference?, you may be asking. The answer is simple: If it is loving, it comes from God.
Plain and simple. Easy peasey.
So, altho there are people in the world to whom we can admire and look to for inspiration, always consult your inner light – your God. He will never lead you astray.
PEACE, LOVE, and BLESSINGS
