You cannot have good without bad, love without hate, ebb without flow, yin without yang. To experience greatness, you must have survived darkness. Sure, a fraction of people seem to have good no matter what – at least that’s what we may think we see. But, all in all, good comes from bad. Gratitude is born from scarcity.
Do your best. Hope and pray for the best. Resign yourself to be grateful, no matter what. Whose to say that the “no” you get on a prayer, wish, job, etc. isn’t actually a blessing in disguise, or preparing you for something even bigger and better?
So, before you wish or pray away all the unpleasantness of your life, realize that you don’t know it all. You don’t know what the future holds. Feelings are fleeting. Roll with them. Let them pass through you but don’t get stuck in any of them. Good, bad, ugly… There’s always a lesson.
