Listen when people talk to you and truly HEAR what they say. When you talk to people, MEAN what you say. In today’s society it appears that it is becoming increasingly common for people to talk the talk but NOT to walk the walk. That makes me sad for the evolvement of our culture.

People have memories. We make decisions based on our observances and experiences. Depending on the friendship and the promise(s) made, you can instantly destroy a friendship in the blink of any eye if you break your promise. When you say you will do something – that is a verbal agreement, a commitment. It holds up in the courtroom of Judge Judy.   🙂

You are NOTHING if your word means nothing. Make sure your word is impeccable. If you have to make alterations to a commitment or a promise then clearly explain the TRUTH about the changes and not some made up BS story to get out of it. People don’t take too kindly to that kind of behavior.

FYI: If you’re a salesperson, that doesn’t mean that you have carte blanche to fib and lie and stretch or embellish the truth.

Speak your truth always, and follow thru with what you’ve said and you will NEVER have an issue in this arena with people. Remember, your actions speaks VOLUMES as to your character & integrity and whether or not you are trustworthy in the future. Be wise. People ARE listening and they ARE remembering what you say, do, and promise.
