I am SO TIRED of bad service, bad products, BS, and “in it for the money” attitudes. For almost the past year I have hit 3 different nail salons locally to get the gel polish. My nails are so paper thin (always have been) that the gel polish makes them stronger. I discovered this polish about 2 years ago. They say this stuff will last and NOT CHIP for at least two weeks. It was so great that I could go 5, 6, 7, weeks or longer in 2014 and most of 2015. I discovered this polish about 2 years ago. When it grew after so many weeks, all I did was paint regular polish on top of it because it grew out so far before my next manicure. (always saving money where I can) Well, the last several months, like TEN, that is NO LONGER the case. My nails are thin and flimsy as if I have regular polish on them, the polish lifts, and chips and I find myself GLUING it back onto my nail within a week to keep the manicure going. I’ve complained and asked them why they think this is happening, but between them not listening to me and my inability to understand their replies to me, I have gotten nowhere. I even had it happen in a nail salon with a complete English-speaking manicurist. It’s the products, I tell ya – or how they thin them to get more out of them. I am tired of this crap.
I’ve watched and seen them put THINNER into the polish bottles, shaking it up and then using it on me or other clients…not a drop, but SEVERAL drops of thinner. They are thinning the polish so much that it isn’t able to do the job it was intended to do – the job I am PAYING for. Meanwhile, they STILL charge the huge price for this type of polish. This is crazy.
I tried a new salon a few weeks ago. That manicure lifted on THREE nails. I had THREE nails where I’d glued the polish back onto the nail. I gave them a 2nd chance. Well, I had to pop back into the salon one night last week to get ONE nail repaired – a mere 9 days after my original appointment. The polish had lifted on my index finger – AGAIN – and I wasn’t in the mood to apply the same amount of glue over & over again like I had done with the previous manicure. I waited nearly 30 minutes before being acknowledged. Had they acknowledged me, I could have been sitting in the waiting area with my ONE nail wrapped in acetone to remove the glue and polish. When I was FINALLY taken to a table, it took forever to get ONE NAIL done. THEN, I was CHARGED $3 for this “fix’ or “re-do”. Seriously?!?! I gave a $5 bill because that was all I had on me. I will NOT be going back to that salon. I am tired of this shit.
I can be your best customer or your worst nightmare. I have a big mouth and I am unafraid to speak the truth, in all things. If you give shotty service or sell mega-crap to me, I WILL tell folks. On the same hand, if your service and products are above and beyond and do what you claim, I will sing your praises.
I know that the online company I refer people to shop from for everyday items is above reproach and makes the most incredible products, which they stand behind (otherwise, I wouldn’t refer folks). But, my question is, ARE THERE ANY LOCAL, REPUTABLE BUSINESSES OUT THERE ANYMORE?
