My heart is so sad for our country. We are SO divided, SO angry, SO WOUNDED. People all over this nation are struggling against big odds to make ends meet each week. Experience is the BEST teacher. My experience of observing and living some of this is that if things continue on the path they’ve been on for the past several years – decades – then America, as we know her, will surely collapse. No, America is NOT perfect – there are laws and beliefs that we must change or make accommodations. I get that. But, as a whole, America is a wonderful country.
I sympathize with the Syrian Refugees. I can’t imagine what they are dealing with. Unfortunately, today’s society is wrought with corruption and wackadoodles who want to annihilate us that we have to STOP. THINK. We may have to say “not now” to Refugees, simply because terrorists have infiltrated the masses, masquerading as one of them in an effort to gain entrance into the US and kill. They want to take over our country. Why? I don’t know. I think that any god who teaches killing for the sake of killing is NOT a god.
If our gov’t continues as it has – growing larger and larger, taking more and more of our freedoms away then we will soon find ourselves in a country with no freedoms. Can you imagine being imprisoned for your words, your thoughts, how you raise your children or talk to your neighbor? Or worse, killed for these things because of overcrowding in the prison systems? It’s not unthinkable. If we continue on this path. We are destroying America a little each day when we don’t stand up and stop these things – peacefully and WITHOUT injuring others or stepping on the beliefs of others.
I am not a gun-toting American, but I am OK with other people having them. Crimes aren’t usually committed by law-abiding gun owners. They are committed by criminals who have access to massive firearms.
We all want to “love our neighbor” (most of us do)…but we cannot do that at the risk of our own lives and the lives of our communities. I’ve seen some stories where Refugees/illegal immigrants have taken over areas/communities and are attacking our police. What the heck is THAT? So, I allow you into my home and you begin destroying it and telling me what the new laws are – in MY HO– USE? No, I don’t think so.
We’ve got to PA– USE…not forbid immigration into America forever…just PA– USE. THINK. Figure out HOW we are going to handle the influx of people into our society. They need to work to earn money to support themselves…that means fewer of the few jobs already. If they don’t work, we can’t let them starve – so that means they get to tap into social programs that we can’t manage for our own legal citizens or our Veterans.
There comes a time when we have to say STOP. WAIT.
Imagine America as your home, your house, your family members. Would you allow a family of 5, 10, 15 to move in and take over dictating rules to you & your family? No, you wouldn’t. America is the same. She is OUR HOME.
We need to stop our gov’t from growing and taking over our freedoms, our choices. I know much of what is posted online is BS or some deviation of the stretched truth – especially with politics. But, think about it. How fabulous has America grown in the past decade or two? Not much. Corporations leave because the taxes are killing them = lost jobs, more people enrolled in social programs that the taxpayers pay into to keep them running. That means less take-home pay to support your families. The rich know the tax loopholes and such, so they do better, they are able to save and hide money…yet they preach that we should give more. The working poor ARE giving…they are tapped out!
I don’t pretend to know the answers but I do know that we need radical change and we need it now. Continuing on the path we’ve been on for MANY YEARS is not going to change anything. The definition of insanity is doing the same things over & over & over again expecting a different result. I know that Americans are NOT insane. Let’s vote OUT the old regime gov’t and vote in new blood…someone who, yes, annoys you – but someone who definitely is in this FOR America and NOT for his own personal gain.
Have you ever said something like, “if they XYZ my kid or my Mom, I will kill them…or I will punch them in the face…”? Yeah, me too! That’s passion. Passion for your beliefs and what you hold dear. Doesn’t mean that you will actually kill or punch someone. Same with some things Trump says – he is passionate about saving America and healing her wounds. Let him. We need to heal our nation. He is not radical – he is FED UP like many/most Americans. WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK. We don’t want elitists controlling us like sheep any longer. Seriously think about this. Just because you know someone’s name, doesn’t mean that person is the right one to lead you. Hillary is NOT the right one. She is part of the problem. She wants more gov’t, more spending, more status quo. We cannot afford to keep this up. Try running your household budget the way the gov’t runs our national budget….oh wait…we don’t have a budget. SMH
I know you like Hillary…she’s comfortable, you think you know her….but do you really? She’s been a part of big gov’t for decades and NOTHING good has happened on large scales for most Americans. It’s time to stop this. It’s time to think of America as your home, your family and do what’s best for HER. Some of us will pay more and others will pay less…but as a whole America will heal. Let’s come together and effect change on this monumental stage – OUR HOME. Vote Trump.
