We all want to lead huge teams in our respective businesses. It’s inherent to us as humans to be the best at what we do. The ego is a crazy thing…for some, it’s a big deal… for others, not so much….but we all want recognition and status…to some degree.
Unfortunately that sometimes translates for some people into…Whatever it takes at all costs – win at all costs. That’s not my motto.
Those people are blinded and chasing the money…to them, people are secondary…and in many cases the people don’t matter…they become a means to the end…pawns in their business agenda.
I don’t want a team that is so large that I cannot help them. If your team is so huge that you cannot be there for them, that’s a problem. If that is you then you need to make changes NOW. Delegate and or outsource some things to free up your time so you can help your team.

Bottom line…if you’re not available to your team, eventually your team will not be there for you….meaning they will leave. If people don’t matter to you, then I feel sorry for you. You’re missing the big picture. This is networking…people are the best of it all. Stop treating them as pawns. And stop following people like you are brainwashed or in a cult. Think for yourselves.
People matter. Their goals and dreams matter. Their families matter. The money will come, IF you help others and GIVE. Give your time, your knowledge, whatever you have to give, give it…and give it without an agenda.
Be there for your team. Give them the benefit if your experience and knowledge. Teach them to stand on their own….that takes time. The time us gonna pass anyway…why not do something worthwhile with that time. So when you are prospecting out there…Ask yourself….
Is this someone that I would be comfy bringing home to meet my family?….someone I can trust around those I care deeply for? let around my valuables? If not….then move on.
Stop chasing the money and being so desperate. There are millions of people out there….the right ones will come to you IF you project the right stuff for them. So….what is important to you? What things matter?
I know this is business and people say keep business and personal separate…but to me…everything is personal….I just don’t get personally hurt when things go wrong in business stuff. What people do in their world is between them and their God…not for me to judge….but I do get to decide who I bring into MY world….and so do you.
Be selective. Be purposeful. Know yourself and get to know the people you may do business with. It is important. The money will come. Be selective. You are building a legacy.
I am building a business to last a lifetime, not a lunchtime.
