Our world is getting crazier by the second. The moral compass – our conscience – that used to guide folks to do good is broken. Seems that most people are only out for themselves. They’ve lost the guide of doing good for others – or at least, they’ve STOPPED listening to it. They’re now guided by the almighty dollar and how they can easily acquire it, no matter who they crush in the process.
There will always be someone richer and someone poorer than you, someone happier and someone sadder than you. Always. Get over it. How much money does one person/one family need to survive and live a good, happy, fulfilled long life? What happened to working for what you want to achieve and own? Now people lie and cheat to get ahead and then boast about it while those listening to them are cheering them on and applauding them. What is that about?
Gone are the days of helping a less fortunate neighbor or friend. Sure, these kind people still exist. Thank God. But it seems that they are few and far between. The world is converting to evil and it sickens and scares me. Not for me, but FOR my soon to be adult child who will have to navigate this craziness.
The good people of the world must unite and stand up and defend the goodness of life. No one is entitled to anything. No one. It’s time we made all the temper-tantrum adults realize this. You can be good and do good and still live a joyful fulfilled life.
