This military wife speaks about how she used to “roll her eyes” at people doing home businesses and how now she realizes how wrong she was.

People who have home businesses/direct sales companies are not all chasing the money for a little extra pocket change. Many are in need of the income from these home businesses to help support their family. Many are unable to find employment. Many are divorced and trying to make ends meet. Many are finding their way.

Before you ‘roll your eyes’ yet again when you come across someone posting something about their home business on their Facebook timeline or other social media platforms, think about them. really think about your friends.  Are they just pushing a product or do they really have a passion for what they are doing? There is a difference.

You do not have to buy from them. No one is forcing you to do anything. You should, however, respect them for stepping out of their box and doing what they can to help their family survive financially.

Did you know that for many a mere $300 extra each month means the difference between them keeping their home and being homeless? Did you know that? 300 dollars. That’s not a lot of money but it could mean the world to some families.

Look at your perfect life.  Can you help them? Is their business something that might benefit you by using the products they offer?

I know that my company can and does. I’ve tried my hand at a few online companies the past two years but they all have led me back to my root company – one that I’ve shopped with for thirteen years now. That is passion and belief. Yet many of you reading this don’t give me and many others even a 2nd glance.  Instead you say things like, “Oh, there she goes again trying to sell me something.” and “Why doesn’t she get a ‘real job’?”

‘Real jobs’ are difficult to come by. I know. I’ve been looking for admin asst type work for months now. From what I am encountering, Corporate America wants to pay next to nothing, offer no benefits, yet get top dollar work. I don’t mind going above and beyond the call of duty but seriously I have value.  My skills are valuable.  My knowledge, although not from a college or university, has value.  People want to raise the minimum wage to $10-$15 an hour yet folks with job & life experience cannot find work and when they do, they are offered way less than those rates. It’s crazy.

Instead of staying in your comfy bubble, I challenge you to venture out and check out some of the awesome home business companies and products that your friends offer.

1 – you might actually find something of TRUE value and

2 – you can help a friend without having to give charity to them.

We all donate to various charities in the world, but a small percentage of people will take the time to look, listen, and possibly buy from their friends. Shameful.
