Things to ponder:
1. It’s not your journey, it’s theirs. Stop judging.
2. Have an opinion, but make sure you know all the facts first. Or, at the very least, gracefully let people know that you don’t know it all.
3. Don’t cut folks off/out of your life just because you perceive that they’ve pissed you off.
4. Cut them off/out of your life because they have repeatedly hurt you, specifically.
5. Don’t put yourself into the disagreements of others when it’s really none of your business and you don’t know the whole truth. Believe me, there is MORE to the story – it’s NEVER one-sided.
6. If you think that you are holier-than-thou, think again.
7. Stop using folks to get ahead. Help them and you will soar.
8. Invite others into your cliques. Stop keeping people out. Everyone belongs somewhere, maybe your group is what they need in their life.
9. Life is not a popularity contest. We all have things going on. If you think only hanging out with the cool kids will make your life great…you will live a shallow, unrewarding life.
10. If someone disappears for a while, NOTICE. And when you notice, find out what’s going on. Maybe they don’t want to burden you with their problems. Maybe their problems are too big for them to handle alone but they stay alone anyway so as not to be burdensome to you. Reach out to folks when you notice their absence. Don’t just assume anything.
11. Reduce the time you spend on social media. It is not real. Make yourself available to folks in your “real” life. (For some, social media is all they have – I get that.)
12. If you know that about someone then get involved in their life and help them have a reason to reduce their time on social media.
13. Stop pretending to like people just because others in your universe think they are awesome or because it may elevate you in some way with others. If you don’t mesh well with someone, it’s OK. But it’s never OK to be fake with people – that is lying; to yourself as well as to others around you. And trust me, folks know when they are being BS’d…I know that I do!
14. God is HUGE in my life. He is my number one. Get used to it. He will be making appearances here on my blog whenever HE wants to.
15. The real truth is spoken here.
