I wrote this on February 28, 2015 at 7:58am and posted it to my Facebook.  I’ve decided to post it here on my blog.

What is a “GodHeart” person? If you know me and have talked with me then you know that I often make up words. I’m silly like that.  🙂  I made up this word sometime during the night last night.

A “GodHeart” person is someone who has a heart for others; even if someone has hurt them personally. If that hurtful person was truly in need, the “GodHeart” person would put any differences aside and offer help. Not saying that the “GodHeart” person checks in on the mean one and chases them to change them or woo them back….but if truly in need…

A personal illustration: I had a friend cut me out of her life a few years ago (I was never told why but I believe it may have been because of my differing political views; but whatever). Anyhow, about a year ago her house had a chimney fire one night, complete w/firetrucks and the works. As soon as I saw it, I immediately called and asked if they were OK and if they needed anything…I was sincere.

I wish no one any harm. I have never really cut anyone out forever, no matter what – I just distance myself and live my life. She chose to cut me out and she gets to make that choice. On the phone call, she thanked me for my offer & concern, said they didn’t need anything, the fire was minimal….and to this day, we’ve not spoken since. They’ve not needed anything that I am aware.

But that is what I mean… to me, that or something similar would be an example of someone with a GodHeart.

Loving people as Jesus loves.

Not “being Jesus”…but loving like Him – as best as we can.

Are you a “GodHeart” person?

PEACE
